Wine Tasting Tour in Carmel Valley
Nestled below the beautiful Santa Lucia Mountains, Carmel Valley is 13 miles long and is blessed with a dozen tasting rooms. Its grape varieties are diverse though cabernet sauvignon and merlot especially thrive there. On the eastern end there’s Salinas, famous as novelist John Steinbeck’s hometown and now home to the National Steinbeck Center. On the western 
end, there’s the unique village of Carmel-by-the-Sea with its charming cottages, dozens of art galleries and white-sand beach. Go north from Carmel and you’ve got the Pebble Beach golf resort, the world-class Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Go south and you’ve got the spectacular Big Sur coast and (if you’re willing to stay overnight) Mr. Hearst’s Castle.
Monterey County in fact has more acres under grapes than the famous Napa Valley. And it hosts the first winery to make merlot the prevailing grape in its wine blend. If you want to focus on wine tasting, we’ll put together an itinerary that highlights your preferences, plus a great lunch. You won’t regret incorporating the beauty and wines of Carmel Valley into your day.
What will it COST?
Because each tour is designed to fit your interests, our fees vary. Basically you pay by the number of hours in your itinerary. We do not add the fuel surcharges, "license fees," "tax" and mandatory gratuities that many other companies do.
